In 2018, the Solid Waste sector accounted for 4% of the City’s total greenhouse gas emissions. The Climate Action Plan supports existing City programs to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste, compost organic materials, increase waste recovery and landfill diversion, and promote sustainable consumption practices across Oceanside.
